Devil’s Food Cake is not your ordinary chocolate cake! What’s the difference? Well sit right down and let me tell you!
Devils Food Cake is all about the science! Yep, you heard me. It uses boiling water instead of milk, it has a higher pH level due to the added baking soda and uses cocoa instead of chocolate squares which makes it fluffier. Some people even add coffee to bring out the chocolate flavor even more!
Although we aren’t certain how it got its name, I believe it was to rival the Angel Food Cake. Hmmm… I may have to have both today just to make a scientific comparison!
