While working at the Toll House Inn in 1937, Ruth Graves Wakefield might have been a little curious as to how chocolate chips would taste in her cookies. We all know how that turned out to be! Some of the best cookies ever and as a result Nestle brand Toll House cookies were named for the Inn. She signed an agreement to add the chocolate bars to her cookie recipe and received a lifetime supply of chocolate.
Chocolate chips are used in many different recipes and can be eaten by themselves.
